Beanbag Games Provide A Ton Of Family Fun

By Megan Landry

If you are looking for family fun right now, then beanbag games can give you exactly what you need. Since these games are completely children-friendly and safe, the whole family can enjoy playing them at home. It doesn't even matter what the weather is like since you can just go outside to play whenever the sun shines and play inside whenever the weather is gloomy.

For quite some time, bean bags were considered to be everyone's favorite toy to play with at home. They get rid of the fear of getting hurt from tough or sharp gaming equipment, after all. This means that young children can even play without you have to constantly worry about them or watch them from afar.

If you happen to have toddlers around you who like to put everything in their mouths right now, then keep in mind that they shouldn't play with these toys, though. If they do, they may accidentally place the bags in their mouths and bring about unwanted accidents. As such, these toys would be more recommended for kids three years old or older instead. Adults can play them, too, though.

To make things more interesting for the kids, try filling up the board that they will play with with different cartoon characters or fun animal caricatures. Then, make some holes into the board and get the bags ready.

The aim of the game is to get the bags into one of the holes. Points will be awarded depending on the hole's size after the bag makes it through. Smaller holes will equal to more points. Older children will especially love this scoring system because they should already understand how points work, in general.

For very young children - the ones who are three and four years old - there are other things they can do. These may include bigger three-level holes and usually don't involve any points. All that the kids have to do is shoot the bag into the hole. This action in itself will already make them feel like real winners, believe it or not. Keep in mind that they will need to be supervised to avoid them eating the bags, though.

Adults can up the ante a little bit and make the competition harder by playing outdoors with a single small hole on a rectangular board. You can think of it as a game of basketball, where the beanbag would act as the ball and the hole in the rectangular board would act as the hoop.

Naturally, this comes with more difficulty, though, since the mechanics will also require a distance form where the bean bags have to be tossed by the players. Whoever shoots the bag well will be deemed the winner. Without a doubt, beanbag games are a ton of fun and can provide the entire family with a whole afternoon of excitement spent together.
